A Great Basketball Picture To Get Psyched!

October 10th, 2011 | Posted by timd in sports - (0 Comments)

Back when we were all biting our nails over the impending NBA strike it briefly almost felt bad to get so interested in the historical images of the past few seasons of professional basketball. Now that the nightmarish vision of a basketball free 2011 – 2012 season has passed, it is once again fun to reflect on all of the action we enjoyed so much. It is also fun to anticipate a lot of great new action coming down the pike this year.

To celebrate the impending basketball season I plan to by some of these fantastic NBA pictures in fantastic 3D! I really enjoy the Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets shot that you are currently selling. From the intense look on his face to the great pace that you can read in the limited movement afforded by the graphic ingenuity that the designers at Athletes In 3D have made.

If you are not the biggest Hornets fan don’t worry. They are sure to have your favorite team in an awesome basketball image that you can get behind and put on your wall or your desk at work to get psyched for the next season. It’s a great way to get prepared for the future of basketball!

Danger, Speed, NASCAR Photo

October 3rd, 2011 | Posted by timd in sports - (0 Comments)

NASCAR is among the most death defying of sports to marvel to. We get to watch people driving in tons of steel at speeds that average folks can hardly dream of driving in. The potential for things to turn dangerous or even deadly is very real. In some ways that is why we watch. The skill of formula one racing is defying logic by controlling those several tons of steel and engineering into a speedy and safe victory. It is no easy feat.

Most of us will never get close enough to the action to feel the heat coming off of those engines. Luckily there is high definition television and the vivid descriptive coverage of the sports press. There are also soon to be 3D NASCAR pictures which should be available here in the next few weeks. These shots will be so cool and so immersive that you will feel as close to the action as ever.

A classic NASCAR photo is more than just a picture of a fast car. It is a photo of a man and machine breaking through in fast and scary ways. Presented in eye popping 3D you will be thrilled at these wall adorning masterpieces.

Dirk Notwitzki In 3D!

September 26th, 2011 | Posted by timd in sports - (0 Comments)

It is hard to fathom what a seven foot man would look like towering over you in real life. So rarely do we have the opportunity to meet these mountainous people, the likes of whom play basketball, that just trying to wrap your head around that kind of height on paper is nearly impossible.

Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks is a great example of this. He somehow manages to tower easily over a vast swath of the obviously not generally short National Basketball Association. To imagine his presence among a group of people who are the size of mere morals is incredibly difficult and nearly comical in it’s premise.

That said these NBA pictures which are presented in a moving three dimensional effect can some how start to shed a light on the size of a player like Nowitzki’s. The pictures, which are a great addition to the decor of any sports fan’s office or home, show a great action shot. Dirk is taking a shot and you can see the futility of the two players charged with blocking the giant.

These images are of course par for the course from Creative 3D. These are a great gift idea for the Mavericks fan in your life!

Celebrate Being A Fan With MLB Pictures

September 19th, 2011 | Posted by timd in sports - (0 Comments)

My roommates are Mets fans. I do not slag them for this or gloat when things are going sour for New York’s other baseball franchise, I feel pity. I watch as they watch, I see the pain in my roommates’ faces, the cringe as another game turns south for the boys in blue and orange. I think, how can they just keep doing this over and over again? Don’t you reach a point where you just want to root for a winner?

By contrast my brothers are Yankees fans. At their worse they are hemming and hawing about minutia or lamenting things not panning out in the post season. Rarely do they have the sort of “over before it’s done”,  sad look in their eyes. Instead they stay positive and when things don’t work out say better luck next year.

These MLB images of glory and victory are apparently not for every team. Still, even if your team is in the dumps at the moment that could always change. It is still worth preserving their glory and your being a fan with some eye popping 3D MLB pictures. There are members of the Phillies, the Rangers, of course Derek Jeter of the Yankees and many more. No reason to wallow with those whose teams are down. Celebrate the fact that you chose the right bunch.

NBA Pictures For Your Locker

September 12th, 2011 | Posted by timd in sports - (0 Comments)

Gym lockers are one of the few places a student can truly stake out their own space at school. Your desk in the classroom needs to be neat with no bells and whistles to distract you from your work. The cafeteria is a drab fluorescent dead zone where your own personality is buried in an endlessly gray space. With that locker you get to post pictures of your favorite bands or hot actresses, not to mention your favorite sports heroes.

What could make your locker cooler than a striking image of Derek Jeter executing a fantastic play or LeBron James just before a glorious dunk? These sort of MLB pictures and NBA pictures are what make sports figures our heroes in our youth. Having them hanging in your locker before strapping on your gym shorts will guarantee you take rope climbing and kickball a lot more seriously than you might have otherwise.

The coolest thing of course is the eye popping 3D effect that has been imbued on these decorative pictures. Hanging one of these in your locker is like hanging a mini flat screen that is stuck on the best moment of the game in your locker. It’s a nice little break in the long school day.

A Year Without NBA Pictures

September 5th, 2011 | Posted by timd in sports - (0 Comments)

Could this be?

A friend was recently worrying aloud about the potential NBA lock out. It seems as though we went through this dance before. The NFL lock out threatened sports fans just months ago, but they worked it out. It would seem there was simply too much that those involved could potentially lose. Luckily the same is true of the NBA though it would seem they are flying pretty close to a basketball free winter at the moment.

The NBA images that have been burned in our minds are often iconic and spell binding. To go an entire year without that sort of action will definitely make a lot of fans feel cold to the sport. Many of us are not old enough to remember the MLB strike that hurt the reputation of the entire world of professional sports for years to come. By most accounts the recovery of the sport in the public mind did not take hold until the home run battle of Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa in 1996. Those MLB pictures of two people accomplishing huge things were a great comeback for the sport. Though the story obviously had more twists years later.

The NBA could suffer a similar fate should this lockout occur. It is not that fans want to turn on these players but the American attention span and the American threshold for dealing with other people’s junk is sort of maxed out in other areas at the moment.

Mets vs. U.S. Open Tennis

I was at  the Mets game Tuesday night. There weren’t more than 5,000 people at the game, but they said it was 30,000+. What they actually meant was that there were 30,000  people– in the general vicinity of Citi Field… like at the U.S. Open next door!

3D Sports Images And Officiating

Eye popping NASCAR Images coming soon!

The world moves fast. The world of sports moves even faster. That is why Creative 3D was developed, to capture the lightening fast world of sports images, in there full 3D glory. Can you imagine seeing a touchdown pass or other NFL Images in 3D? We can’t put you there on the grid iron, but we can get you pretty close.

Our cameras are even powerful enough to capture Nascar images with crystal quality. Have you wondered what that ribbon looks like when that winning car snaps by it? Now you can know with Creative 3D. Can you imagine how exciting a 3D photograph of cars approaching a finish line must be? Five years ago this would have not been though possible.
Creative 3D holds promise for all sports, but I believe racing stands to benefit the most. Some races are decided on images of event that occur over fractions of seconds. No other company can say that they can capture such a tiny sliver in time in a large 3D image. Creative 3D is not only great for the fans, but it is great for those officials making close calls. I believe in the future of officiating is going to rely more heavily on 3D images.

Take me out to the ball game

I’m looking forward to the Yankees vs. Red Sox game on Tuesday in Boston. Wikipedia says it’s one of the  ”most famous and fiercest rivalries in professional sports.” Should be hot.

NBA Pictures, Like Being In The Front Row

August 22nd, 2011 | Posted by timd in sports - (0 Comments)

I will likely never be court side at a major NBA game. Unless I start dating a Kardashian or befriend Justin Bieber chances are I will spend most of my life watching these games on television. Granted with the invention of high definition television and the better angles of televised sports production we now seem closer than ever, still it sometimes seems like it would be exciting to have Dwight Howard or Kevin Garnett leaping just over your head an arm’s distance away.

That is why for my money these NBA images in eye popping 3D are among my favorite in Creative 3D’s collection. The angles in these photos are amazing. sometimes it is as though you are sitting right underneath the feet of a leaping titan of basketball and in others it is as if you are perched on the top of the hoop as Lebron James jumps up for a dunk.

These NBA pictures are as close as most of us will ever be to getting the celebrity seating at NBA games. That they happen to be an 3D, and not some clunky fake 3D either, makes them such an awesome thing to have for any fan of hoops. These are a great way to take a piece of the game home.
